Democrat Eyes Seat Of U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie [View all]

FRANKFORT (AP) - Democrat Ron Leach has launched a congressional campaign in Kentucky, hoping to unseat Republican U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie.

Leach, a retired U.S. Army major and a farmer from Brandenburg, went up his campaign web site on Monday, declaring that he can no longer sit by with Washington politicians caring more about satisfying lobbyists than helping working families. He has scheduled campaign kickoff events across the Second District on Saturday.

I'm not in the Second District so I don't know much about Guthrie or Leach, but I'm always in favor of getting more Dems in office.
