Local Democrats are mourning today [View all]

The Peabody Democratic City Committee is in mourning today following the death of a long time member. Ed was 84 years old, and a lifelong Democrat. He had been ill for a few weeks, and left us yesterday morning in the hospital.

I cannot remember a time when I would see Ed and not get a hug and a kiss on the cheek. He greeted everyone with smiles and love.

Our DCC, and indeed our city, has lost an icon, and we will miss him terribly!

Today we have our caucuses to elect delegates to the Primary, and I'm sure the moods of the attendees will not be as joyous as had been expected. We will be remembering Ed. He would surely have been at one of the 2 caucuses, brightening everyone's day.

RIP ED!! You will be missed.
