I'm supporting Mary Moriarty for County Attorney. I've spoken to her a couple times and I think it might not hurt to put someone in that office who isn't coming in with a prosecutor's mentality. She is the DFL endorsed candidate.

Winkler or Dimick are certainly qualified but Dimick did not impress me personally when I spoke to her. She has a real chip on her shoulder about Moriarty that I don't quite get - unless she just doesn't like defense attorneys.

Winkler, despite his denial, probably has his eye on statewide office. I think he might be more Freeman-like (though I do find him easier to talk to & not as impressed with himself as Mike was - for what that's worth).

For sheriff I'm going with Dawanna Witt. She is the endorsed candidate and I was really impressed with her at the Hennepin County Convention.

In these two races the top 2 vote getters will move on the the general election so we could wind up with two DFLers to choose from.

I see that, again, poor old Ole Savior, is mounting a challenge to Walz. The guy is worse than Harold Stassen (at least Stassen had had a credible career at one point).

I know nothing about the people challenging Steve Simon & Keith Ellison and I don't feel i need to waste my time checking them out.

And the morons at the Grassroots-Legalize Cannabis and Legal Marijuana Now Parties will have candidates challenging Walz in November. Makes perfect sense for them to try to siphon votes from the party that would legalize grass. Don't tell me they aren't Republicans in stoners' clothing.

On edit - just for fun: I just took another look at the ballot and noticed Sharon Anderson is running in the Republican AG primary again. Am I the only one who remembers she beat the GOP endorsed candidate years ago? It was back when channel 5 had the daily "Steve and Sharon" show. At the time it was thought GOP voters confused the Sharon Anderson on the ballot with the Sharon Anderson on the TV show.
