Alford's only claim to fame was being on KC news for years, right? And before him, was Vicky Hartzler, I think. Was she any brighter?

It is rich that they say that they have to cut spending to get the debt under control, but a large amount (if not the lion's share) of that debt accrued when W decided to mire the US in two long-term wars, attempt nation building, and allow the financial sector to wildly crash itself in 2008. Then, came Trump's tax cuts after 2017 and the necessary pandemic response. Now, we are back to more of Trump's tax cuts.

After that, it is always expensive for the Democrats to have to rebuild or replace the parts of government that the GOP/MAGA GOP/Trump Party had broken. (Just imagine how expensive it will be to reestablish competent agencies after all of the arbitrary firings that Trump has just enacted across the government. Trump values loyalty over everything, but he seems more than willing provisionally to accept complete incompetence as a temporary substitute.)

It is maddening.

I am very surprised to hear that he was for releasing the Epstein files.

Thanks again, and have a nice holiday weekend.
