Carpeting for $500 a month plus an extra $25 for a parking space. I shudder to think what that apartment rents for now. When I moved out in 1993 the 9 unit apartment building sold for $890,000. I begged my parents and boss to consider buying that building. That Building would easily sell for 5 million or more now. I was lucky to have such low rent that I saved for those 5 years got a down payment for the home I own in San Francisco, which I couldn’t afford now.

And I feel sorry young people at my age then that have to live in rooms they pay $1500 for now.
