(NM) More than 100 Heart Institute patients may have been exposed to COVID-19 [View all]
More than 100 patients may have been exposed during what the state Department of Health reported as a coronavirus outbreak at the New Mexico Heart Institute in early July.
Among those was cardiologist, Dr. Charles Kim, who has been hospitalized since early July in intensive care.
How many patients contracted COVID-19 or suffered serious medical complications from the exposure hasn’t been disclosed by the DOH or Lovelace Health System, which owns the Heart Institute.
