1. We drove through Portland last summer

It was astounding how many tents were perched on the steep concrete walls of the freeway.In Southern Oregon we have a number of homeless folks who live on the side of the freeway which is State property. The Governor had announced that homeless people would not be removed, so that's why they're there. Medford police frequently empty out homeless camps along the creek.

What a terribly frightening way to live.
