Doug Emhoff visiting Lehigh Valley on wife's behalf as Harris campaign sprints to Election Day [View all]

The nation’s second gentleman, Doug Emhoff, is scheduled to visit the Lehigh Valley on Saturday, his office within the White House announced Tuesday.

The Pennsylvania visit for the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, Democratic candidate for president, comes after a summer of historic tumult, with the path to the presidency this fall becoming much clearer for both Harris and Donald Trump.

Emhoff is scheduled to travel to Allentown then deliver remarks at campaign events, according to Tuesday’s announcement. Additional details were not immediately announced.

Emhoff, a father of two who married Harris in 2014, spoke Aug. 20 during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and has made numerous Lehigh Valley visits during the past four years.
