Memphis police: Woman says pro-Trump stickers prompted her to spray-paint 'Nazi' on pickup [View all]
A woman who was arrested Monday said she spray-painted "Nazi" on a truck in Memphis because the vehicle was carrying pro-Trump stickers, according to a police affidavit filed Friday.
Memphis police responded to the vandalism call at the Walmart at 3950 Austin Peay Highway at 8:05 a.m. The pickup was parked in a handicapped-accessible space, and the owner returned to see the word "Nazi" spray-painted across the rear window and passenger side of his truck, according to the affidavit.
Officers said the suspect fled the scene in a silver Chrysler Pacifica.
Heather Waddell, 31, was identified as a suspect by police, detained and taken to Old Allen Station, where she gave a written statement admitting to the act, according to the affidavit.
