3. I think she will be in the company of other florists from around the country

who, like her, are thrilled and proud to have been chosen. And yes, as she is a small business owner trying to stay afloat in a pandemic, this will be a great boost for her both now and in the future. I am also glad that something positive is happening for the spouse of a deployed soldier. The sacrifices of blue star families is often overlooked. As an aside, our incoming First Lady has a great track record of advocacy for military families. But for now, when I see the WH Christmas decorations this year, I will try to focus on the efforts of the talented floral artisans who felt excited and honored to be a part of it, and not let the jaded mannequin- in-chief ruin it for me.
