Because as usual in Texas, the biggest asshole amongst the Republicans will likely be the winner of the race---in this case, for the U.S. Senate.

And I doubt very seriously that Cornyn (or anybody else, Ted Cruz included) can portray himself as a bigger asshole than Paxton.
