A Houston woman has been found guilty of running over a man with her Porsche while he was out on a first date in Montrose.
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Kristina Chambers was convicted of hitting and killing a man who was on a first date, and has been sentenced to 11 years and 14 days in prison, according to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Last Thursday, a jury found Kristina Chambers guilty of manslaughter. According to officials, in 2023, Chambers was accused of being drunk and speeding in her Porsche, ultimately hitting Joseph McMullins, who was leaving with a woman from Voodoo Donuts after their first date.
It happened at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on Westheimer near Waugh in the Montrose.
According to court records, Chambers' blood alcohol content was four times the legal limit at the time of the crash.

The sentencing phase followed on Monday, Oct. 27, where 35-year-old Chambers learned how long she will spend in prison. The Harris County District Attorney's Office confirmed to ABC13 that the full sentence of 11 years and 14 days was because the victim's birthday was November 14.
