1. I've been through the Red Lake reservation in northern MN, and all the road signs are in Ojibwe.

Which is interesting, because Ojibwe words, especially for place names, aren't like English words; they are descriptions, so they tend to be rather long so sometimes the words have to be hyphenated. I'd love to know the literal translations. I also noticed that some stores and other businesses in Bemidji have signs in Ojibwe - at least Boozhoo (Hello) and Thank you (Miigwech).
