I invented a carburetor that gets 77 miles per gallon. That was back in '58. One day a guy drives up to my garage in a black car. Says his name is Michael Anthony and he worked for a guy named Tipton. Said, if I will give him the plans and prototype -- "Well, here's $1m in $100 dollar bills in two large cardboard boxes."

I though he was going to manufacture the carb but I never heard anything about him or it from that time. Later, I began to wonder if he name was really Michael Anthony.

I googled Michael Anthony and John Beresford Tipton and he did exist.
