Jean was leader of the Wild Rose Party which was the more extreme right wing so he may garner enough votes from some of those supporters as well as coming across as relatively moderate at times which may entice some of the old guard Progressive Conservatives to support him as well.

Given the way Kenny and his cabal have set up the 'rules' for the review in April, counting only those who can physically attend and vote rather than allowing a greater number of participants along with other rules that heavily favour Kenny over any rivals, we might be lucky enough for him to keep his position and be in place for the next Provincial election. Fingers crossed on that one.
