They are not specifically blocked. But that doesn't mean they'll continue to work either.

For one example, I have a first-generation iPad. And it still "connects" just fine to the Internet. I can browse (most) web pages and even check my email.

But if I fire up the Hulu application it complains and won't connect. And there's not a new version of the Hulu app that will run on my old old iPad.

Fortunately the old Netflix app still works

So my computer isn't "blocked" but it's not able to connect to all of the services that used to work.
