I have a business program on win7 vista, my 'workaround' is that computer is not connected to the internet. All files are saved on a back-up drive, if that computer ever 'blows up' I have a new vista cd license at hand. with my business main files not connected to the internet saves me subscription fees and the program/computer has been fast & flawless for many years.
