Regarding images not showing up [View all]

I posted last week about this:

and did some follow-up but then ran out of steam.

Revisiting the issue today because I have a solid lead.

It seems the issue is relates to the hosting site postimg.cc .

I have gone into site settings (Brave browser) and added an exception for postimg.cc for javascript and autoplay, but still not working.

The site uses https so it isn't that.

Here's what the code looks like in a post containing an image I cannot see (brackets replaced with parentheses to view code):

I'm sure it views fine in other browsers, so this is specific to Brave. Anyone here use Brave who can verify that images show up in DU posts?

Any ideas I haven't yet tried, before I go to the Brave community?

ETA: and within minutes of posting this, happened upon another broken image post:

Can anyone verify the url of the image posted please? All I get is the broken image icon. TIA
