9. Big 10-4 on that. Autodesk Land Desktop 2004 on an XP Pro for me.

That old Gateway machine doesn't talk to the outside world anymore other than copying files to and from thumb drives.

I'm retired these days but am occasionally asked to draw up a survey or topo map. Both the machine and AutoCad boot up in an instant and run problem free like they did 20 years ago.

A Win 7 laptop still does most of the MS Office stuff for us and again, problem free.

Your post rang a bell for me.
