The UI is not for the faint of heart but it's very powerful.

Edit: I also use Privacy Badger by EFF and Clean URLs. I think you and I have both mentioned Cory Doctorow, and he recommends all these tools. EFF has a terrific Surveillance Self Defense help file that mentions these and similar tools.
