Voting for Obama doesn't give people some kind of immunity or special privilege that runs counter to the group's charter. There are other places on DU where they can air their grievances to a receptive audience. This is not a forum to rehash negative opinion, and I kindly request people take their criticism somewhere else.

My interpretation of the BOG:

The BOG provides a forum for the President's supporters to gather and have constructive conversations. It's not a forum that tolerates personal attacks on its members or blanket condemnation of the President and his policies.

Our support of the president goes beyond him as an individual. We also believe in policies he has put forth and his long-term vision for the country. We actively work to bring his vision for a more perfect union, where everyone gets a seat at the table and equal opportunity, to fruition.

The BOG is a space where Obama's speeches and public appearances by him and the First Lady are presented for the enrichment of the group or anyone else who is interested.
