night owl chat more musical flash mobsBy Liberal Librarian
It is, quite clear, that the past 48 hours have been hell. Weve been put through the wringer. Weve had our hearts torn out and trampled upon.
But thats the thing about being human. Tragedies occur and you dont see a way out. But there always is. Beauty endures. Light endures.
So, a night owl chat for those who endure.
Tchaikovsky Waltz of the Flowers
Ravel Bolero
Do the Locomotion
One I posted before, but its the perfect ending: Beethoven Ode to Joy
************Darkness only wins when we stop searching for the light.

Maria:
Let's start at the very beginning
A very good place to start
When you read you begin with
Child (Gretyl):
ABC
Maria:
When you sing you begin with do re mi
Children:
Do re mi
Maria:
Do re mi
The first three notes just happen to be
Do re mi
Children:
Do re mi
Maria:
Do re mi fa so la ti
Oh let's see if I can make it easier hmmm:
Doe- a deer, a female deer
Ray- a drop of golden sun
Me- a name i call myself
Far- a long long way to run
Sew- a needle pulling thread
La- a note to follow so
Tea- a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to do oh oh oh
Child:
Do
Maria:
A deer, a female deer
Children:
Re
Maria:
A drop of golden sun
Children:
Mi
Maria:
A name I call myself
Children:
Fa
Maria:
A long long way to run
All:
So- a needle pulling thread
La
Maria:
A note to follow so
Te
Children:
A drink with jam and bread
Maria:
That will bring us back to do
Children:
Doe- a deer, a female deer
Ray- a drop of golden sun
Me- a name i call myself
Far- a long long way to run
All:
Sew- a needle pulling thread
La- a note to follow so
Tea- a drink with jam and bread
Maria:
That will bring us back to do
Do re mi fa so la te do so do
Now children do re mi fa so and so on
Are only the tools we use to build a song
Onces you have these notes in your head
You can sing a million different tones by mixing them up
Like this: so do la fa mi do re
Can you do that
Child (Brigitta):
But it doesn't mean anything
Maria:
So we put in the words.
One word per every note.
Like this:
When you know the notes to sing
You can sing most anything
Together:
All:
When you know the notes to sing
You can sing most anything
http://www.stlyrics.com/songs/s/soundofmusic9841/doremi323510.html
We can do this if we put our notes together. It's a very good place to start.
