that is meaningless.

Somehow I doubt that the 10 beached giant deep-sea creatures had anything at all to do with the later earthquake. It just doesn't work that way. Yeah, I know there are lots of stories of animals acting odd right before an earthquake, but most animals calmly go about there business right up to the point the ground starts shaking.

Oh, and Japan is seismically active, so predicting an earthquake there is a pretty safe thing to do.
