Choose to take their son on a pretend drive-by? What kind of a kid would ask to be taken on a pretend drive-by? What kind of parents are those?

Hope the kid survives, maybe yes, cause then he can ask his father to take him on a real drive-by, cause I suspect his dumb ass father would be only to glad to do that.
