But I think that after the psych evaluation (which must be taken and made public or don't run), they should be allowed to run and let the voters decide if they want a diagnosed lunatic or psychopath/sociopath in office.

That would at least stop the B.S. from the right that their candidates are sane when they're obviously not, and it might help to curb the media's sanewashing of candidates also.
