A Macedonian accused of selling over 181,000 stolen credit card details on an underground website he operated between August 2010 and January 2014 has been sentenced to 90 months in prison after previously pleading guilty to access device fraud and aggravated identity theft.

He was also ordered to forfeit $250,000 and pay restitution, the exact sum to be determined at a later stage.

The accused – Djevair Ametovski, aka ‘codeshop,’ ‘sindrom’ and ‘sindromx,’
was arrested by Slovenian authorities in January 2014 and extradited to the United States in May 2016 for crimes linked to a site he https://www.justice.gov/usao-edny/pr/operator-global-cybercrime-marketplace-sentenced-90-months-imprisonmentcreated for the sale of card data and other personal information.
