before we go on to smear someone - (and particularly this someone, for fairly obvious reasons)

Feel free to disagree with me, but, "some are saying" - is really scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as any sort of effort at veracity or sourcing - and the product thereby rendered is - - sleazy.
