3. The water sources in the north are not going to be dependable either.

As the climate patterns change, much of US cropland and livestock will have to change - perhaps drastically.

This is not just the grasslands and surface water. This is especially the deep aquifers that have been sucked dry by profiteers and won't replenish for thousands of years.
