WASHINGTON — Amtrak service has now resumed between Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia after an earlier disruption that led to multiple train cancellations Monday morning.

The company initially suspended service due to disabled equipment from one of its rail partners that was blocking the tracks. Service was expected to resume by 7 a.m., and it appears trains are now operating close to schedule. According to Amtrak’s website, trains originally scheduled to depart at 7:05 and 7:40 a.m. have since departed, and the 8:05 a.m. train is running on time.
