1. I remember street cars in Detroit.

And trolley buses running on tires but powered by overhead wires. It was early fifties. Livernois had street cars. Grand River Avenue had trolley buses. They were all over the city and provided Detroiters a convenient and inexpensive way to get downtown... Or to Briggs Stadium to see the Tigers play.

Then, they tore up the rails, and got rid of the overhead wires.
