But I can see how it's possible. Or perhaps the rabbit died of exhaustion, particularly if neighbors from different locations were setting off fireworks -- it kept running trying to evade the threat, and found no safety.
Probably the biggest threat to wildlife from fireworks, is the potential to start forest fires.
I do wish fireworks were banned. There are alternative ways to have light shows.
