It presumes that what happens in Israel doesnt affect Jews worldwide, and that the poster you are defending, while most likely not having served in the IDF any longer than I did, is entitled to his opinion, which has nothing to do with what I posted, more than I do to mine, which questions the legitimacy of the sources in the OP and nothing else.
His opinion is this: any doubts about the dubious sources amounts to defending the murderous IDF. Knowing this, you still didnt tell me what you think about me having doubts about the cited sources or whether you think IDF is murderous.
Do you, apparently having served in IDF, think he is entitled to thiese opinions? Do you think I am less entitled to question the integrity of the demonstrably inaccurate sources?
To answer your questions, no, I never served in the IDF. No, I never lived in Israel for an extended period. No, my opinions are not based only on my Judaism, and obviously so: they are based on factual errors in the OP, which have nothing to do with my Judaism. And I care what the Israeli left think since 1967, when, as a child, I first found out that Israel is a sovereign state created by the Jews and governed by the Israeli left.
Why? To answer that, I must ask you some questions as well.
Were you ever beaten up as a child by a gang of grown ups for no other reason than that they suspected you of being a Jew?
Did your father ever lose a job because he was Jewish?
Were you disgusted when the UN passed a resolution equating Zionism with racism?
Were you ever appalled by the normalization of antisemitism around the globe?
Have you ever felt abandoned by Americas Left?
Finally, were you ever told by angry strangers to go back to Israel even though they knew perfectly well you have never been there before?
If you were, you wouldnt be questioning me about why I care.
