I have a question about pronouns [View all]

If I have an LGBTQ+ relative in a same sex relationship, and I love their spouse as I love my relative, would it be acceptable to call them my niece and my niece, or my nephew and my nephew? I refer to my married loved ones as nieces and nephews or nephews and nieces. I am already a great-great aunt, and pretty sure we'll welcome new faces to our family, and I would like to be as affectionate as I can be without making etiquette mistakes.

Many thanks
