And resourceful, especially when all her upbringing did was educate her to be pretty and airheaded and marry well.

She also took care of her family, including the Wilkes, and decided friending Yankees and eating was better than starving with honor.

Yes, she was often selfish and "Mean Girl," but at heart she was loyal and brave. I like her, too.
