The character was brave in all meanings of the word, without special effects or swords or funky martial arts moves.

Also, Helen Parr. One of the best animated characters and best animated voice-acting performances ever, I think.

They could have left out the slasher heroines. They tend to be cookie cutter stereotypes.

I'd have Lisbeth Salander in the top ten. Both actresses who played her were fantastic, so they could put her in the top ten twice, IMHO. Also, Katness Everdeen and Maggie Fitzgerald should be higher.

But fun list Lots of characters I'd half forgotten.

And I agree with the posters who say Scarlet and Buffy should be there. They are top ten material, easily. Scarlet could be number one. I can't quibble with Ripley--in the context of her time, she was freaking awesome.
