How is The Tudors? [View all]

Looking for a show to watch, this one has a 95% match. I like period dramas and watching pretty people in pretty costumes on screen, so 95% sounds about right.

But, few things annoy like a series that fizzles after a few episodes or the first season. Do I remember correctly that this show is one of those?? Is it worth diving into?


Edit: I am on S1 E6 and enjoying it! I’ve done lots of pauses to google stuff/people to get the real history. I only know the basic outline of this time period, and what I saw on Wolf Hall a few years ago (which I loved). Also having to google some actors to satisfy the “Now, where have I seen this dude before??” question (best revelation: Cromwell = Franklin Mott from True Blood. I cackled for a full minute.)
