Amazon Prime paid $125 million for "Coming 2 America" streaming rights [View all]
They bought the film -- or rather it became available -- back in October 2020 when it was apparent there'd be a delayed theatrical release. It will debut on March 5th and sounds pretty good.
I'm aware this isn't the first instance of a film going direct to streaming and certainly won't be the last, but $125 million? Wow.
