I know I sound like an old fart, but your choices are either movies for teenage boys, full of shooting people and blowing things up, or something so dark it makes you need therapy after seeing it "Nomadland" is a good example of this one "The Father" is another.

Things today are so depressing I want to go to the movies for an escape into something that entertains me, makes me escape from reality and laugh HARD. Nothing does that today. I have been living in old movie land, watching things from the 40's 50's and 60's. Watched the Maltese Falcoln the other night, watched a musical with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers last night.

I'm not in to what they see as entertainment right now. If you like it, I'm not dishing you, just saying that they are leaving some of us out in their choices right now.
