1. I don't rush to watch new shows anymore for that reason. Not just Netflix doing it,

But, yes, it is unfortunately a self-fulfilling prophecy. Cancel early on a cliffhanger, destroy trust, audiences will no longer take a chance, and pretty soon all you have is old crap that causes viewers (and critics) to move on to other outlets. Apple + is seemingly doing that more and more too-- most recently with Charlie Hunnam's (Sons of Anarchy) adaptation of Shantaram. It deserved better.
