2. I saw it in the theater (one of a few)... I think the problem was it was meant to be four-parts

but the material would have been far more suited to a tv mini-series, which typically requires the first episode to set up the rest. Given filming/release of any further "segments" is questionable, I can see why anyone watching it now would be quite disappointed.

That said, it was beautiful cinematography on the big screen, so I did enjoy that.
