10. I agree. They blew it. At least the showrunners did,

and HBO let them. There are any number of ways they could have better adapted the storyline to television. They did their best to make Ellie unlikeable in those first two episodes and they succeeded. She needed a redemption arc and a reconcilliation with Joel before he died, not just 5 minutes while we watched him die. Maybe that worked in a fast-paced game, but it did not work for television. I knew he was supposed to die, but I did not expect it to be handled like that. We needed more time. It was shocking, sure, but at what cost? They lost a chunk of their audience.
