Sometimes I feel like why even try. [View all]

I studied history because I believed we could learn from it, and avoid making mistakes. But there is always new genocides, always new wars, always racism, and bigotry, always people like Trump etc.

There isn't even a safe place to vent. Tok many just don't want to think bad stuff exists or if it does it can be easily beaten.

It does exist. It can't be beaten by just thinking good will always win. I am starting to think the saying the only thing we learn from History is we don’t learn from History, and the years of studying it were pointless just like my Mom said. It's the only thing I was ever good at, and it's pointless. Sorry I am just having a bad day.
