2. One thing in my favor is we've had 2 very mild Winters so no big Spring melt offs

so the sump pump hasn't really been running as much as in past years.

If I make it through this storm I'm going to buy a new one and maybe swap this one out. I can keep it as an emergency spare.

I have an emergency back up sump pump but I need a new battery and I never remember that when I have someone here to help me. That will change, this weekend. If they weren't so heavy, I'd buy one in the morning. The backup pummp doesn't do a great job but it does buy time.
