Otherwise, I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I lost my job last week. However, I have a Class A CDL and a lot of experience driving trucks. If I want to get back into that, I can probably do it pretty easily.

And that's my suggestion to you. Get a CDL. You'll always be able to find work if you don't screw up too bad. Screwing up too bad being getting convicted of a felony or a DUI, or failing a drug test. Trucking pays well, and seeing as how you are a single guy you probably are very flexible with the kind of trucking jobs you can take.
