8. Direct ancestors in the paternal line, to Maryland, 1665.

(and possibly a generation or two further back than that). Surname, to Warwickshire circa 1350 (it's not common, and my colonial ancestor was probably from Warwickshire; it's almost certain the 1350 instance is an ancestor).
