What's for Dinner, Fri., July 12, 2024 [View all]

I found 3 gorgeous beets at the greengrocer. I scrubbed them up last night and put them in the slow cooker and they cooked perfectly. When I peeled them, the skin just fell off. Easy.

I made a beet, feta cheese, lettuce, toasted pecan salad. I used grape must reduction in the dressing.

It's in the 'frig, awaiting my return from the recycling center.

Do not read below this line unless you have access to an Aldi:

I bought the most incredible thing at Aldi yesterday: a tray of baklava.

Have not had any for years.

It is not only delicious, it is an incredibly nice tray, lots of it, pretty, tastes delicious, and only cost me $6.45. You never know what you're going to find there!

Also, they even have a reasonably good grape must.
