My oldest now, a veritable baby by my standards, a 5 year old female Siamese rescue.
My previous Siamese, my most precious, sweetest baby boy caught pancreatic cancer in mid 2017. He was hands down my closest companion and we shared a deep love unlike most of the other bonds I have shared with my pets. And, I'm a weird, love them like family person. He was just super special. That once in a lifetime companion.
A few days before his one year anniversary of going over the rainbow bridge a friend reached out to me about a 6 week old Siamese kitten rescue from a breeder. Her mother had died due to complications during birth and she was one of the surviving kittens. She'd been being bottle fed, but the breeder (very unscrupulous person!!) wanted out from underneath the responsibility of tending her and her 2 other surviving siblings. The other two had found homes but she was left because she was missexed as a male. I didn't care since I wasn't going to breed the kitty and just wanted to rescue the poor thing. Also, I preferred male kitties personalities once neutered. Win-win.
I bottle raised "him" loved him and we became deeply bonded. My sweetest little "man" I called him. Only to take them into the vet at 10 weeks to learn he was a she! Lol!
She's now my sweetheart of a girl, and I love her dearly. ❤️
Siamese are a truly special breed of cat.
