Carys made last night pretty special [View all]

It started at treat time. She will sometimes leave the room if the boys go in to a 'feeding frenzy'. Last night I called her name and for the first time she actually responded! Twice!. A short time later I was doing some pre-bedtime straightening up and she walked right up to me. I took a chance and reached out to pet her and she leaned right in!! What followed were several minutes of head bumps, purrs, rubbing against my legs and many, many pets and scritches from me.

A few minutes after I turned out the lights I felt someone hop up on the bed. I thought it was Arthur. Nope - it was Carys! And not in her usual spot on the very corner of the mattress. She was stretched out, pressed against the back of my leg and let me give her even more pets and scritches. Merlin was doing the same on the front on my leg. Arthur sprawled across my ankles, Madoc was at my feet and Gryff was in his usual place on his pillow that is right next to mine. A real 5 kid cat night!

This morning I was allowed to give her more pets and scritches. I'm anxious to see how things go, today. Hopefully I can take another photo of her.

She just might get an extra treat.
