2. When I visited the Islands I looked for books

and info. on the history esp. in Jamaica and Barbados. I found very little and the same in the US until more recently which I'm glad to see.

I knew the Danes controlled the DVI until the US bought it in 1917. Kudos to Denmark for making more efforts recently to reveal this dark period with the public women's sculpture and other accessible materials.
