body cameras/dash cameras [View all]

Trying to spread this post around. Did not find a "Technology" Forum anywhere. Maybe this is the wrong spot for it, but Civil Liberties are certainly at issue lately. "General Discussion" flies by so quickly, posts get lost fast.

Can anyone recommend good body cams and dash cams? There are so many on the market, and they all seem to be written by Chinese with words missing, odd grammar, etc, which does not make them "bad," of course, just makes me wary of them. I've just started looking and my eyes are glazing over. I have looked at a few "Best Body Cams!" listings and they all suggest different models. I'm wondering if any DU members have gotten some and how they are working for you?

128GB or higher
maybe an auto-link to the cloud if ICE takes your phone or cam
night mode?
wide-angle lens
easy on/off
GPS?

Dash cam
large capacity
easily removable

In this era of ICE nabbing people off the street, cameras seem to be one of the best defenses. Could be that everyone should have one or both.
